I'm a new cat owner and I want to give my little guy some treats and was wondering what everyone recommends?

I want to stay as holistic as possible, and far away from temptations!

Any recommendations?

Which is relief, because they had been turning their noses up at every other treat I bought and I was getting tired of wasting money!

You need to be careful when picking out treats. Alot of them are the same crappy flavored grains and meat by products.

I think the best treats are things like raw chicken necks, and then freeze dried meats like these:

I give mine the Cosma or Thrive freeze dry treats - and yup i give them dreamies too

I don't know if its what you had in mind but I cut up raw fish usually tilapia with scissors into small pieces. I keep them in a Ziploc bag then take my cat for a walk. When he listens to come, stay, sit etc. he gets a piece. Or we do trick sessions. I combine tricks and walks so if we're somewhere new he still does tricks not just at home. He doesn't need the treats to do the tricks a "good boy" and some love works too. Tuna is his favorite but tilapia is cheap and it comes in individual vacuum sealed frozen pieces in the supermarket freezer section.

I'm not sure why......but he doesn't like any cat treats(I wonder ). I have a box full of various different treats I've tried all opened and all full. The only exception is Bonito Flakes its not the name brand just the term for tuna flakes their available in most pet sections. The flakes are kind of difficult to feed because they break apart and I don't like fish flakes in the carpet.

i feed freeze dried chicken as treats, mine are fed a complete raw diet anyway, but my sbt's will eat thrive or cosmo, my f2 boys just prefer a big bone

Eric so far has poo pooed every single cat treat, also tried him with raw chicken wing which he licked a few times then threw around until he got bored with it haha! I stick with plain cooked chicken so far, he likes that pretty well but still not that excited about it. Going to try raw chicken wings/necks when he is a bit bigger and further along the road to his raw diet (grinder on order as of today )

Dango loves Evo's line of treats.

I'm 100% raw too and the fish is for rewards. But I also do mice, quail, and sardines I get them here https://www.hare-today.com/ Not sure if its a toy or treat but I get dehydrated rabbit ears and he eats'em too.

I have reptiles and I get "hoppers" its a small mouse(bite size). Any pet store should have them frozen. I hide them around the room then let Pouncey sniff them out. If he can't find one its an opportunity to understand pointing. This is one of his favorite games he gets very excited.

miki129, Ozzy looks like he's pissed in the second pic. How do your cats responded to the chicks? At first my boy growled(and purred) at me with the quail. That just made me pet him more. Now he doesn't growl but he gets a little tense and bites down on it. He thinks I'm going to eat it
