I've got my free 6 weeks pet insurance from Petplan! I was wondering if anyone could tell me if I should continue with them, or should I switch to another insurer that you could recommend! There are so many to choose from, I really don't know what's the difference between them! Thanks! :?:

I'm not certain what I'm going to do myself!
If you use the search function above and type in "insurance" you'll find quite a few discussions on the same issue, some quite recently as well.

hi,
as hobbit said, this is a recent discussion on the topic,

http://www.bengalcatforums.com/forums/v ... php?t=1411

looks like we are all pretty undecided on the insurance front. i personally don't insure, it works out much more for me as a breeder than most claims would compensate for (& still not everything would be covered), but i did used to when i was just a pet owner.

lmao hobbit!

ok, i'll explain myself (still giggling).

i use the term "just" a pet owner very loosely lol, what i should have said was "when i just had pet cats rather than was breeding them, considering all the extra costs involved with breeding" hehe

of course, with these cheeky little rascals, just having them as pets can be extremely costly at the vets, if they get themselves into trouble!

I had my 2 dogs insured with marks & spencer but they have doubled the premium recently so have cancelled.. have only claime £160 for a cyst in 10 years... :D
have looked around at others but there are sooo many get out clauses you really do have to study each and every policy.
On the face of it, it seems Pet plan may have the best cover.. but.. they are not the cheapest.. but again have levels of cover.. :?
My kittens too are given the free petplan for 6 weeks.. personally I am going to run it for 12 months or so on the top cover to see how the cats are health wise etc. and then decide whether to carry on or pay as I go ( so to speak)
eeek they come home on tuesday evening...
guess who wont be sleeping tuesady night lol
