My cats haven't tried New Balance, so I don't have any experience with that, but they do eat (some) blue wilderness as a regular part of their diet. To me, nutritionally they seem pretty similar. Blue wilderness is a little higher in protein and a little higher in fat. New Balance is one I probably wouldn't have any hesitation in trying though. It seems good to me. In Blue Wilderness' favor is that it has more flavors (and my cats pretty much like them all) and, at least around here, can be bought at pretty much any pet or pet food store. And I do like that it's higher in protein. You might want to just let your cat have the final say though. If he likes both, even feeding both isn't that bad. It's actually pretty nice to have cats that are used to different foods. There will be times when that comes into play.
Another thing to consider is possibly feeding some canned or raw food to supplement the dry? Those are generally seen to have some nutritional advantages over the dry foods (more moisture, less protein from plants etc).
