certainly spotty enough to be one, but it's had to tell without seeing his face.

Having seen him from the front he definitely looks like a tabby - one of our cats is a tabby with similar markings :D

What are the differences you look out for in the face, as the cat on the photo looks quite similar to Bengal photos I have seen on this forum??

Hi Stella, Chloe and Matt

Jasper has a rounder face, the striped markings are not so clear and distinct, there is no circling of the eyes with cream. Jasper's coat looks more ticked than the average Bengal though you can get ticking in some Bengals.
The coat doesn't look particularly pelt like, and he doesn't seem to have glitter, though sometimes Bengals don't have glitter, and it is notoriously difficult to photograph.

Contrast the look of Jasper's face with Linda's boys and girl, http://www.bengalcatforums.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=691

Lovely cat all the same.

Elsa

Hello Chloe and Matt,

I don't think he is Bengal either but if you love him it doesn't matter

Some of the Bengal characteristics are sweeping their water with their paws before drinking. All my Bengals do this :D or drinking from a running tap.

They are very intelligent, energetic and will play fetch and hide n seek. They use their paws like hands and will hide and stash away their toys, oh and household items they might fancy pinching
Bengals are athletic/muscular cats and much heavier than a normal cats especially the males.

They are more like a dog than a cat...they will always greet you at the door, go through your shopping bags, get in the bath or shower with you if they can

Definately " A cut above the rest in my eyes "

If your cat does most of these thing he could have some Bengal in him :D

From the 'spots' picture, my first thought was that Jasper was possibly part Bengal, but i've compared the pattern to that of my girl and the spots/stripes formation is quite different. The tail is very different too. Jasper has much thicker bands of colour (from what i can see)

From the face pic, however, i believe that Jasper is a tabby. I've compared the pictures of him to my girl and i see the cream circling around her eyes and all the other points elsa mentioned, but not on Jasper.

Any chance you could post some face on shots with his eyes open...? Should be able tell for sure then. 8)

Jasper is gorgeous though, whatever his origin! 8)

hey everyone,

The only reason for us asking if he could be or have bengal in him is because we want to buy him a friend for him to spend his days with when my partner and i are at work.

He loves being around people. Playing with toys and coming up to winter in New Zealand he needs a cuddle buddy. and we want to find him a match. We love him as a child and only want the best for him.

Please if someone can help us with this it would be wonderful.

This all for jasper a lonely boy.
