Hi there,

I was hoping some breeders or experienced people could help on this one ..

I have two brown spotted bengals (brother & sister), they are 1 year & 4 months old.

I have been inclined in getting another bengal . but I don't know about the whole getting along scenario ....

What does everyone think .. Am I being a bit 'irresponsible' by wanting another ... ? Will 3 bengals get along with each other ? I live in a 3 bed semi detached house, so I think space is okay?!? (my two have the run of the whole house), my husband and I also built an outside cattery at the top of our garden as we put our other two in there on weekends (as we are around all day then) so they can have some outdoors and sunshine etc ..

But I just wanted some honest opinions. I know about the vet bills etc ... things like that. It's more on the side of how they will get on with each other .. will it cause problems etc ... or upset the 'happy' balance ...

Sorry for the long epic :)

Aimee xx

Hi Aimee

More than 2 shouldn't be a problem (we have 5 cats), the only thing is it might be easier if you get 2, then they can occupy each other without getting in the way of the older 2.

Just a thought.

Thanks Naomi ..

Wow 5 cats .. there I was thinking I was being brash .. You are so lucky though! I'm jealous :P

I don't know if my husband will have heart failure or dementia  if I had to get another 2 though let alone 1 ... It makes sense what you're saying though.

Is it better to get more males or females though ?

Aims x

Not sure, we have 2 female, 3 male (only 1 bengal), I'm sure you'll be able to convince your husband, depends how desperately you want another and how well behaved your current 2 are :)
