I was reading a post on here asking for potential Bengal names. I spent ages trawling through sites in order to find some new snow related names for our kitten (which ended up being kittens). I thought maybe some folk out there might like to benefit from the list I came up with?
We chose Pohja in the end because it shortens nicely into Po, and we thought that was cute!

Skadi - Goddess of Sky
Firn – type of snow
Isaz - Proto-Germanic for “ice”
Ymir – Ice giant in Norse mythology
Louhi – Ice giantess in Finnish mythology
Pohjola or Pohja – Realm of ice and snow in Finnish mythology
Khuno - Aymara mythology - god of snowstorms.
Agloolik – Inuit mythology - spirit that lives underneath the ice and gives aid to fishermen and hunters
Kori – ice (Japanese)
Peng – ice (Hokkien)
Siku – ice (Greenlandic)
Qanuk – snowflake (Inuit)
Kaneq – frost (Inuit)
Apun – snow on ground (Inuit)
Muruaneq – soft deep snow (Inuit)
Pirta - Blizzard, snow storm (Inuit)
