Hello all! My name is Adam. I fell in love with bengal cats a few months ago while partying my friend's house, he and his wife have 3 boys. No matter how much noise our drunken selves were making in the basement the cats still came down to visit. I've done all the research and trolled these boards and found excellent info.

I start a new job monday so what better way to celebrate than get a new kitten, a partner in crime. I contacted a local TIBCS breeder and she has 2 marble boys for me to meet this weekend, I will probably take the lynx snow. Too bad they wont be ready for another 3 weeks.

Ill post some pics if the breeder lets me take them.

sometimes she is sweet, and adorable and cute. When i first got her all she did was cry, now she jus cries when I leav he for work. Now what's really irritating is when I'm getting dressed she climbs up my pant legs or nylons. How do I stop this, telling her no doesn't work. I bought softpaws for kittens, but I feel that might take away her spunky primal wild cat instincts. That and she's only 3 almost 4 mo. old so it's her way of getting up/ around, Igues? What should I do when she goes aggressive kitten play mode or climbs my pants? Plus she only responds to her name 1/2 the time so I'm not sure knows it or if she just comes to my voice, or if it's just her wierd independence thing.
What to do?

Hi Monique,

Welcome to the forum :D

Kittens do grow out of climbing up your legs but they should always hear the sound " NO " when she does it !

Have some toys near by and when you think she might climb you, spray her toys with Catnip spray. Cats just love it and this will draw her attention to her nice smelling toys rather than your legs
Praise her and play with her so to let her know you are pleased with her. She should soon learn right from wrong.

If she continues to do it as she gets older there is a citronella spray you can squirt her with. It's very similar to pepper spray. http://www.petsmart.com/global/product_ ... 3866457024
She would soon learn fast and it isn't harmfull at all.
