As some of you may have noticed, we had a not so nice visitor posting some adverts to sites that weren't quite what Bengals are interested in

Thanks to Stalin for alerting me.... if anyone else spots a return visit before I do, please drop me a PM and I will delete the offending posts sharpish....

Needless to say, the offending user has now been deleted and also I have banned the IP addresses he posted from (though these look to be faked). Hopefully he won't return where he's not wanted....

Gavin.

Yet more SPAM tonight  Thanks for alerting me....

Not sure what we do about it to be honest.... We're at the latest version of phpBB and I can only assume the spammers have found a way to automatically register and start posting their nonsense....

Fingers crossed for an update to phpBB soon that stops them.... :?

Looks like we've had another visitor today..... thanks for the PM's...

Deleted now!

Getting rather fed up with them though, struggling to keep on top of it.... Getting an incident nearly once a day now....

Might end up having to stop new members for the time being

Thanks to a friend of mine, we've changed the registration page now - that should stop the spammers :)
