Hi Meemonkey - holidays used to mean going somewhere hot for a couple of weeks, eating too much, drinking too much and spending lots of money.

Holidays now mean I can be at home with my babies - ok they are hard work sometimes but I cannot think of any better way to spend my time.

Guess holidays don't exist for you just now but bet you would not have it any other way :D . Do you have many kitties to take care of at the moment?

We have 4 kittens at just over 11 weeks old.....They'll be going to their new homes in a couple of weeks.

And we've still got one of Evvies kittens here with us too, she'll be about 16 weeks now......Her new owner asked us if we'd grow her on and take her along to the Blackpool show before she collected her.

Its going to be quite a big show and it'd would of been a shame for her to miss out on an oportunity like that, she's going up to a breeder in Aberdeenshire and there's not any Tica shows planned for the north of England after this one so it made sense to give her a chance to shine on homeground!

After all that is done we'll have maybe 3-4 weeks of a kittenless house! :(

Maybe will get a little weekend breakaway somewhere around then.....we need it.

We couldn't spend too much time away from our leopards.....we'd start to fret over them for sure!

Hi meemonkey - glad to hear there is a well deserved break on the horizon. When is the blackpool show?

It's this next weekend coming, and its a 2 day show!

http://www.coontica.org.uk/seasidefun.html

It's not far away for us, which makes a refreshing change considering we normally have to travel a couple of hundred miles each way!

We'll be taking 3 cats so it'll be a really hectic day for us.....will you be going or is it to far away for you?

Me and my other half are considering coming down to see what its all about. I've never been to a show before but believe they are open to the public for part of the day?

Tica shows allow the public in from the start, the door charge is normally about £2. It's GCCF shows that only allow you at 12pm. (after most of the open classes have been judged)

There's also an agility course set-up at this show.....I guess alot of Bengals will be giving it a shot on the day. (should be amusing  )

I hope they've got someone to set it back up again after a Bengal has had a "go" at it
