Hi all. Am now actively looking for a gorgeous snow spotted and marble snow queen to john my clan! Any help/advice would be greatly received! Large dark spots would be lovely with blue eyes! Lol. I can see her in my head already but where is she!

I'm the owner of a blue eyed snow breeding queen Her name is Branwen. You can see her on the gallery at 5 months old. Shes just over a year now. I think I was just lucky to discover a breeder who specialised in snows. Sadly he no longer breeds due to ill- health, dont know if he will start up again. However, what I will say is to take your time. It is also a different ball game looking at snows and evaluating them as opposed to the brown bengals. Are you looking for a kitten or adult? With snow kittens their markings can be quite faint. But if you are looking for a snow spotted kitten, you must be able to see the spots even if they are very faint. Dont believe a breeder who says something like 'Well they will come later' they have to be their first !
Also dont be rushed into making a decision. It can be difficult I know, particularly if you have clocked up 100 miles or so to see a kitten.

You can get a list of breeders from the BCCGB website or the Bengal Cat Club. Their websites will show if they do snow cats. Glitterglam always seem to have snow spotted and marbled cats and good photos. Hope this helps,

i definately do my homework as with my other babies (without sounding funny) i know what i am after in my head if that makes sense? lol

i have now decided to get a silver marble girl too!
i am ploughing through the DEFRA site and reading CITIES in the states re importing which i know is virtually impossible at the moment but there are ways!
i want to get my wild keepers license as well as i have the grand ambition of having my own ALC!! i may well have my head in the clouds re this but its a goal !
i also am in contact with a few breeders in the US re Savannahs which would be the icing on the cake!but red tape has that all stuck up at the moment, but with the right facilities there would be no problem ! i can dream!
has any one imported from europe recently under the pp scheme?
any views / comments / advice greatly received!

We have imported under the defra pet passport scheme.....It's pretty straight forward provided you build a good relationship with the breeder first!

Most breeders don't really have the facilities to hold the kitten for you whilst you wait for the time period between the jabs and the final titre......This should be your first question when making enquiries, It's also worth noting that some breeders will charge for the holding of the kitten too.....but its much less than 6 months quarantine would work out at.

I would also only approach breeders that you know can be trusted i.e "ones that have successfully imported good stock to the u.k before".....you'll be sending them lots of $$$$ so make sure you do your homework on whoever you choose!

Regarding silvers: Be very carefull here.....they are still very much a "work in progress" in the u.k. You'll be very lucky to get something of top quality IMO (most top quality ones are grown-on by the breeders trying to reach their own goals).

We do plan on getting a silver maybe next year or so.....But theres only one breeder we have in mind and thats a trade secret at the moment! (sorry about that )

p.s you'll never find that perfect bengal.....you'll have to breed it yourself.....It's the only way! (ask any bengal breeder and they'll say the same)
