LaVon,

I hate the south and Texas in the summer. yuk H U M I D I T Y, even worse than San Diego. I like our long, late summers, but I would love to have some rain...just about everyone here would...except for the the tourists.

Hi

Just found this post. Me and my significant other (MeeMonkey) live in Southport, which is in the Northwest of the UK. It's about 45 mins drive from Liverpool (which is where MeeMonkey is from) and about an hours drive from Manchester.

Southport is on the coast but we don't see much of the sea! It's usually wet and can be quite windy (being on the coast), but it can also be very nice when we do eventually get the sun. It gets very busy in the summer as it is a popular holiday resort...mainly for retired people. It has a busy nightlife, loads of pubs, nightclubs, restaurants, hotels and hundreds of retirement homes! FORTUNATLY, we don't live in the town, we live in one of the small villages on the outskirts where it's nice and peaceful.

Hello! I am located in Fort Wayne Indiana. I have been breeding for only one year. I am a small in-home cattery and am loving every second with my Bengal crew! I finally put up a website www.katzwalkbengals.com and would love your input. I also belong to Bengals L, and TIBCS chat boards. Tracey Stano Katzwalk Bengals

Hi,
I live in Wisconsin, and a few blocks away from Lake Michigan. Yeah it gets cold here, but today is a beautiful 75 degrees and sunny AND we don't get touched by hurricanes. I feel so bad for the people in Florida, sound like yet another hurricane coming soon too.

Heidi, I've actually been to Southport. They have a nice main shopping street, I think it was called Lord Street? Anyway, I will be getting my FIRST Bengal soon and I can't wait! I have a deposit on a litter due the end of October.

Hi Sandra

So you've been to Southport? Yes, the shops on Lord Street are great. The desk where I sit in my office at work over looks Lord Street, it's really nice at Christmas because the town has loads of festive lights and Lord Street looks really nice!

Unfortunately, I've never been to America (...I know...shame on me) I shall have to make the effort :D

Heidi,
Yes I've actually been to Southport 3 times, I knew somebody there, but had a falling out so haven't been back since! I really did enjoy visiting Southport though and I loved the Victorian facades on the buildings down Lord Street. Yeah you should make it to the US sometime....trouble is which state should a person pick to visit who's never been here before? Each one is so different from another. Anyway, I can't wait for my new bengal, he's not even born yet but I have a deposit on one. I live in a big Victorian (american victorian!) house with lots of windows and windowsills - cats love it here!
