I have two bengals and both LOVE to go outside on the deck. The deck is 22' off the ground and I feel as though I still need to keep a close eye on them because they like to chew my flowers and plants while on the deck and try to jump on the railing.

I am considering getting them a cage or something similar so I can put them in the enclosure so they can stay outside for a longer period of time and i won't have to keep a constant eye on them. Any suggestions for an enclosure that I can keep on the deck? I don't want to suspend a cage on the house or deck railing. Thank you!

There are so many options that are portable. Midwest makes a collapsible cage that is available through Chewy for $110. https://www.chewy.com/midwest-collapsib ... n/dp/45740. This come on wheels and doesn't appear to be too large, but large enough. If your deck gets a lot of sun, you can place something on top to give the playpen (they call it) shade. The dimensions are 36 x 23.5 x 50.5 inches high. This would also allow your kitties get up higher. If you just Google "portable cat enclosure," you will find many options at all sort of prices.

It's wonderful you want to keep your babies safe. A 22 foot jump would probably result in broken bones (my friend who has a cat sanctuary is now caring for a cat that jumped off the roof of a house and broker its leg).

There are a million options -- both permanent and portable, expensive and much cheaper. It depends on what you actually want for your kitties and how much time they will be spending out there. Raiden's enclosure has a cat door in the window (the door is in an acrylic panel, so the window is open. We can take the panel out and close the window at any time). If you kitties like to come and go, then you will get tired of putting them in and out of something portable. We had an open deck and my husband extended the railings, we added translucent panels for a covered ceiling, and Raiden can go in and out whenever he wants.
