Unfortunately I don't know how old my girl is, nor specifically what generation she is. I found her on Craigslist listed for free(!!!), but the previous owners refused to give me her paperwork. My best guess is that she's around 10/11 years old. I've noticed lately that the end of her tail (usually golden brown) has begun to turn a bit grey. I read that sometimes this can be caused by vitamin deficiency, however is it possible that it could be because of age alone?

It would be good if you could post a picture. Bengals do not have white tails. The ends of their tails are almost always solid black. If you are really concerned over this change, please take her to the vet and have the vet check it out.

Many brown Bengals have two or three grey bars at the end of their tails. Both of ours have it, it's a breed quirk, we were told. Certain bloodlines have more pronounced "raccoon tips" as my hubs and our breeder like to call them. I wouldn't worry at all.

It would be odd that the tail would change color after all these years, which is why I recommended a trip to the vet. The vast majority of brown spotted bengals have raccoon type tails with a black tip.
