I didn't measure Bryan's height or length, but at 9 months old he was 5.2 kg. He's 6.3 kg at 12 months old now. Both his dad and grandad were around 8.5kg fully grown, so I'm guessing Bryan might be a bit on the larger end of the scale.
I wouldn't worry too much unless he's looking really skinny. There's so many variables when they're kittens, he might just be a late bloomer.

There is no guarantee that healthy Bengals must be larger than normal moggies. As long as he is vet-check healthy, there is nothing wrong with 4kg at 9 mths. 4kg is already nearly 9 lbs, which is sizable. It all depends on the bloodlines and the ALC being bred. ALCs by itself is already a small breed, not larger than domestic cats, so chances are, there'll be some few descendants who are smaller than normal.

Actually, how I wish my Bengal can remain a kitty like 4kg forever. When they grow bigger, they are not so cute anymore..lol. Its a blessing in disguise, cherish him.

You are talking in kg. I'm into pounds. My 10-year old bengal weighs just 11 pounds. My moggie weighs over 13. Bengals are NOT large cats, generally.

He may grow some more later. My male was grown early, he was 6kg at 9 months, 6.5 at 12 months and now, almost 2 yrs old, weighs about 7kg.

Ollie was around 4kg at around 9/10 months. Now at just over 2 he is still a small cat weighing in at 4.5kg. He has always been a small lean cat so I did not expect him to be very big.

Thank you all for your replies. He is very healthy but eats just a little, so I guess he's just on the smaller scale of Bengals.

My bengal doesn't eat a whole lot either. Probably not as much as he could. My other moggie eats like a pig at his meals. Thankfully, we have vets who help monitor our pets.
