mom carries silver, lynx, melanistic
dad carries lynx and charcoal

the litter has 2 browns, 1 silver, and 2 lynx

i was wondering does this little guy looks like a silver lynx to you?
he is absolutely cute, big rosettes

can anyone familiar with silver lynx help me identify? i know lynx kittens are hard to tell, so im asking just your opinions and truely just luck.

Also would love your suggestion on which kitten I should take. TBH they all look fabulous! I'm more into colors then rosettes. I really like icy color as silver snow.

OMG what beauties! With genetics like that I don't think you can go wrong with either kitten. Go for the personality that grabs you. Or make your odds better and get two!

I have two females sisters and one is very territorial and aggressive so I don't think it is specifically a male trait. My cats "own" every object in my house. Some areas are shared but many are not and only one cat or the other will have rights to that area. There is a constant power struggle as to which one has rights to be on my bed above my feet.

Females spray as well as males I hear but the key is not to wait too long to get them spayed/neutered.

My family always had male cats thinking they were more loving than females. As an adult, I have had mostly female cats and found them very affectionate. I guess the bottom line it that every cat is different and there are no real stereotypes.

I've always had that bias too (taking females in the belief there was less chance of spraying, plus now with having lived with exclusively female cats for nearly the last 25 years, I think I'm more in-tune with them perhaps), but of course it's a stereotype and may not statistically be true.

My guess is that the odds of spraying is probably influenced as much by the environment, and specifically in the amount of stress the environment produces on the cat, as the cat himself, but that too is just a guess. But in any case, regardless of the type of cat, the age, or the gender, you have to be prepared for that possibility when you bring one home, and be up for working through that issue.

DSC_0230.JPGThis is my girl Pearl she is a Seal Lynx if that gives you any idea on colour, she is now 18 months old.

I have had 2 male cats and 1 female, I have not had any problem at all with males spraying and I didn't have them neatured until they were 8 months old.

Personally speaking I have found male cats to be more laid back than females, my girl is like a tornado, everything in her path ends up broken.

It's your choice which kitten you choose they both look beautiful.

The breeder should be able to distinguish between all the lynx cats. These kittens are incredibly beautiful! I'm partial to kittens anyway, although I would never have one. I'm too old to deal with all the rambunctiousness they have.

Darn, I was going to tell you to take all FIVE kittens! I mean, you can never have too many! Any kitten I got would probably outlive me. I already have a 10-year old male bengal and he is a handful most of the time. Kittens are worse.
