This is more of a part 2 as I now have new issues and its like how even.


The kittens now have names Ying and Yang (trust me their personalities are showing off like that) Heres a picture:


So Yang has discovered how to turn on and off the light. I have tried putting double sided tape over the lightswitch but she chews it off and goes back to flicking it on and off. The problem is they start crying if not allowed to come in and out the room and its starting to become a disco in my bedroom I cant sleep. Another thing with Yang is she keeps peeing on my bed. I just bought a new mattress because of it they use the litter fine and its not a marking territory thing or a UTI thing.

Both of them hate being handled and run away from touch still. But they follow me around like dogs in and out the rooms. The problem is that they have their first show next month and I cant work out how to train them for it. Does anyone know where I can get a guide for training shows?

Food wise I have been giving them veal and heart mix or cat mince mix twice a day with royal canin biscuits that they can nibble on during the day (less than 100g of dry food a day) I was told that they need supplements added to the meat to switch to raw diet is that true?

I don't raw feed or show my two so can't help with either of those.

But re the light, can't you just take the bulb out when you're going to bed? Personally, I'm impressed with Yang learning how to do that

Peeing on the bed... Get a waterproof mattress cover whilst you try to work out what is going on with her so you don't have to keep replacing the mattress. It could be stress or her way of trying to mingle her scent with yours. Get a Feliway plug-in in the bedroom to see if that helps at all. I'm sure someone else will come along with more advice on your queries.

Welcome BACK to the forum! Bengals are highly intelligent and can open doors, turn on lights, etc. It's what they do, especially if they are bored. I hope you are engaging them both in heavy playtime and not just depending on their interaction with each other.

The whole peeing on things is a common issue! Why one cat does this, nobody seems to know. Generally, if it's not medical, then it is stress related. You may not be able to see it, but it's there for your kitty! My first suggestion is to put a litter box in the bedroom. I know it's not exactly what one wants to have in there, but if you have two cats, you need at least three litter boxes. And you can never have too many.

The other thing is territory -- urine marks territory. Most will mark with their tail up. But any type of urine will mark territory, so I'd check to see if any outdoor cats can come around outside the bedroom because cats have a great sense of smell and can sense things that you cannot.

As Tabitha mentioned. you might try putting a Feliway diffuser in the bedroom as well. Know that peeing outside of the litterbox is much more common in multi-cat households. I'm guessing your two beautiful kitties get long just fine.

My bengal does not like to be picked up -- and he's not a lap cat unless it's his daddy's lap in the winter time. Bengals are just different from other cats.

We've had a couple kittens that peed on our bed. We put a litterbox in our bedroom until they were about 8 months old, and the problem was solved. I think they weren't comfortable leaving our room in the middle of the night.

Most people aren't crazy about having a litter box in their bedroom, but if it solves the problem, it may be well worth it!

I'll address the raw food diet since I'm an advocate against dry food.

I feed my 3 months old Snickers raw meat, mainly chicken with bones, liver and hearts. I might single a meal out replacing the chicken with lamb or veal. This should be sufficient to provide all nutritions to your cat. To introduce your cat to raw food you me start with mined meat and bones with added water (or milk if still young).

Main advantages of raw diet:
1) fresh (frozen for three days at first, but still fresh)
2) free from addictives, preservatives, carbs, vegitables, sodium... etc.
3) the fur will glitter, since you show your cats that'd be a big plus.
4) good for their teeth and gums.
5) natural.
