My kitten Tomi is really nice most of the time. He likes to cuddle and sleeps with me and my wife with no problem. However when he wakes up in the morning, he starts scratching our feet or playing with loose string on our clothing and when we tell him no and stop, he doesn't listen. I usually try to take him off the bed but he starts scratching at my hands or biting. So me and my wife have to wait until he jumps down off the bed. Then we get back into bed, but so does he and again he does the same thing.

I've had to resort to putting him in another room so we can continue sleeping. My daughter and I play with him often. At least 2 or 3 hours a day. We have enough toys and things for him to bite and climb. We feed him a raw diet, BlueRidge Kitty Grind and every once in a while while training him, we give him organic chicken treats. I work from home so I am with him all of the time except when I have to leave at night to teach a class which is 2x a week.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum. Congratulations on your bengal! The solution to your problem is not easy. You have a kitten. You have a bengal kitten. He is waking up full of energy and ready to go and wants to play, find prey, use some of that energy up. It's the same with toddlers when they get up in the mornings. They are rearing to go. This is something your baby should outgrow as he becomes an adult. But, as a kitten, he has unlimited energy. You will have to train him to understand the word "NO." You have discovered that bengals love to be where you are and are quite social cats. If you do not want him to sleep with you, shut your door and put him on the other side. Doesn't work with me. We have lever door handles and Raiden is tall enough to open all the doors that open inward.

Thankfully, my Raiden does understand the word "no." He doesn't always obey, but he definitely knows what I mean when I say it in a very stern voice! LOL

Thank you for all of the replies. The constant play time is lessening his eagerness to nip and scratch.

This morning he threw up his food... but I'll post a new topic on that.

I found having their nails clipped helped immensely - they'd still do it but the damage is so much less.
I got mine 2 months ago and he's already lost interest in the toe game - Though I think it Luna's accomplishment, since they will just play instead.
I hiss at them and say no if they start - sometimes they will try but they know the hissing is not fun.
