Hi. my name is Dala.
I would love to spend all time with a Bengal. I waited till my old dog had to be put to sleep
I am retired and RV. I own my own home in Elgin OR. I can travel. I like the marble. I've waited along time. I have researched along time. I'm forever single and would give a Bengal everything and a forever home.

There are quite a few bengals looking for homes. You can join several Facebook pages dealing with Bengals. You can google bengal rescues and get on their mailing lists to be notified when one becomes available. Many times breeders post available retired queens and studs who have been altered. You're going to have to spend some time and be patient since you want a particular type of bengal. There are many more marbled females than males, but I'm sure you can find one. Since you can travel, the location of a bengal may not be an issue. You are in Oregon. Snopride is located in Roseburg: http://www.snopride.net. RainbowSafariBengals is also in Oregon, however their website doesn't list any retirees available at the moment. You may also want to check out this website: http://northwestbengalcats.weebly.com.

Take your time, do your research, and eventually you will find the perfect bengal for you. Good luck.

I live in Oregon also. There are many many bengal breeders in Oregon, so that's the route I would recommend. Google will reveal a big long list of them, and you can use other resources as well to find them, like cat magazines or the TICA website and such.

I think this might be the highest profile of the oregon breeders:

You could also try the shelter route. The Humane Society has a huge facility in Portland, and you get go online and watch what cats they get in periodically. I think you can even setup "watches" where you can get them to email you when they get cats matching a certain criteria if I remember right. There are other routes too (ebay, craigslist, newspaper, pet stores etc), although I wouldn't recommend those as they tend to be pretty suspect breeders with suspect breeding and business practices.

Let us know if you have any specific questions.
