Im looking to "expand" my understanding of toys and what types are out there - obscure or well known.
Feels essential to know if there are any types that are more fun for bengals.
I have, for example, heard of Da Bird - Not a product I've actually seen sold here though.

What are YOUR favorites and why? :)

The interactive "wand" types of toys are definitely the favorites of all three of my cats (although they all have preferences as to what their favorite attachments are). They"why" is pretty obvious: it allows you to simulate pretty realistically, a hunt-catch-kill encounter with your cat, and you can tailor it to your cat's abilities. It's also a really tremendous way to bond with your cat.

It was originally created by a former member of this forum (she was cool, I miss her) and they specialized in custom walking jackets, but I believe she also invented a superior type of 'dabird type of toys called flying frenzy (at least that's the first place where I ever saw that sold anyway...).

The shop is now under different ownership now, but it's still a good place. You can search in this forum for "happy house cats" and see lots of positive things said about them.

The flying frenzy wands are also now sold on Amazon, but they are the best, hands down, of the interactive wands, and they are totally compatible with all 'dabird attachments as well as the neko fly attachments (plus the flying frenzy line of attachments which are also good).

It may sound silly too, but for all three of my cats, a favorite toy is always the little toys that come with cat trees and dangle down from a little bungie cord. Those probably get as much play as anything.

I can't recommend a thing. The only toy Raiden loves playing with is his TNR buddy that I bought from Jackson Galaxy's store years ago. The edges are frayed, but he loves bunny kicking it. No wand toys will do. He won't play with balls or catnip mice. No track toys amuse him. What he likes best is a baby blanket on the ground and I move a wand under underneath it. I have the mechanical toy that does the same thing, but he doesn't like it at all! Sorry! I have a weird bengal.

Purrsinourhearts.co.uk is the brand I think you've heard of. They have umpteen attachments too. I always ordered from Amazon for frenzy before but they have a massive range of frenzy, da bird and purrs attachments.

Can't go wrong with one of those wand toys. I keep it shut away but they know where it is and constantly try to break in to the wardrobe to get it lol. By far their favourite toy.

Laser pointer they also like, however, Hendrix has worked it out and launches himself at my hand holding the pointer.

Spring toys and bouncy balls for fetch as already mentioned.

Every cat is different but you'll soon learn which toys get them playing. catit do some good toys, my two really like their catit senses super circuit.

I've currently got one of those Catit Circuit things, a laser pointer and some soft balls.
I haven't seen any spring toys here though.
Trixie is a brand that is very dominating here, most shops don't really have much to chose from :/

I purchased a pack of spring toys for Raiden. I tossed a couple onto the tile floor. He went over and sniffed them and walked away. Tried again and again ... nothing. A total waste of $1.79! LOL

Sherry - have you tried waving them till you have his attention and then throwing them ?

Forgot to mention last night - I also twang the springs, this noise seems to make them more interesting.

However they don't work on carpeted floors - they don't bounce that much or make any noise skittering across the floor.

I used the springs on a tile floor and Raiden watched me toss them. If my husband leaves a golf ball on the dresser, he will knock it down and bat it a couple of times on the carpet. I'll roll it into the bathroom and he will chase it, and just look at it when the ball stops. I don't think he was even taught how to play by his previous owner -- he was just allowed to roam outside. I continue to spend money on toys I think he would enjoy and he doesn't. Have baskets full of things -- nothing! Catnip toys don't even entice him. I'm not even sure Raiden is a CAT!

Toys proper - all kinds of wands except ones that have a plush animal attached to them - these make Noha hiss at his sister so I take them away. And bove all, cardboard boxes of all shapes and sizes - they can't get enough of them.

TTL - true, a lot of cat fun can be had with a couple of cardboard boxes, some glue and a knife - I tend to glue them together with an internal opening from one box to another and several holes in the bottom box.

Sherry - would you like to do a swap - my two for Raiden for a few weeks - you'll soon appreciate the way that Raiden doesn't try to wear your slippers on his head whilst simultaneously trying to disembowl them.

Another place where I get toys, bowls and food etc is Zooplus.co.uk who I believe are based in Germany so there should be a German version of the website and they're great for getting food etc in bulk.

Favourite toy of my little girl before she passed where simple card board boxes lmao yeah I know cliche but she always wanted the box her toys came in over the toys. You can have a look to see if you can find one of those cardboard box houses they do for cheap which cats love otherwise the cardboard scratching mats are pretty awesome as well.

Otherwise she used to carry around a Kong Catnip mouse and the Kong wubba toys are good fun for playing fetch with. Also kickeroos can be pretty good.

I'll have to see how my toy stash works with my 2 kittens that are coming next week and tell you if anything survives lol.

Only other thing I can recommend and I know it's not a toy but if he does turn out to be a cuddle cat have a look into getting a Mewgaroo, you might have seen them they're these Japanese hoodies with a padded pouch pocket in the front where your cat can sit in and cuddle up to you. You can also technically carry them around in it that said I haven't tried a full grown male Bengal in there yet just my chihuahua and my small female Bengal lol, but it would be OK whilst he's still growing. They're good for if you're siting at your desk at your PC as you know your cat won't fall off your lap or if you are watching tv or something.
