Hi, I have a 3 year old moggy and recently purchased a baby bengal. Fortunately the two have bonded but my Bengal is extremely "full on" and Freda tires of her quickly. I almost purchased another Bengal, 9 weeks old when my husband had a fit of the "what if they don't all get on" so we cancelled. Have I left it too late ? As Smegal is a kitten I thought it would be a play mate for her. Any advice ? Or is it really just the luck of the draw if they get on or not ? Love this breed BTW even though it seems they are complete nutters !!!!

I'd say they're more likely to become mates if they're young when introduced - so if you believe a second kitten would help ease the burden on your older cat then you should decide :) You can also try to ask the breeder, they should know what type of cat would fit best. Some allow for a trial period before you decide, but I'm not sure if all do this

Cats have different personalities. If you get another kitten, there is a good probability your two kittens will get along. The problem with bengals is their high energy level -- even as adults. A moggie can't keep up with them, period! And most older cats just want a kitten to go away and leave them alone. It's really a coin toss, but you can help the situation by doing a proper introduction.

I hope by that you mean - it is currently 9 weeks old but wouldn't come to us for another 4 weeks. If you have a kitten farmer selling them off at 9 weeks please name and shame them.
