Hello

I have recently had my female bengal Tazzie swabbed for pk deficiency and received the results on 1/4 that she is Homozygous which is positive for pk deficiency.
Ive been searching the internet high and low for information and I haven't found much at all there doesn't seem to be much about the subject.
I have spoken to my local breeder and she told us that she will only have a life expectancy of 10 months and my vet also confirmed this but today i found online she could live a full healthy life showing no signs.
Does anyone have any more information on whats going to happen/when?

Many thanks

Charlie

There is limited information online regarding this. I'm sure there are kitties who succumb to this disease early and others who do not. Every cat is an individual .... who really knows. The best remedy is to continue to monitor your kitty with regular vet visits. I hate that you've received this news. I know you want to do what is best for your kitty.
