HENDRIX IS MISSING - PLEASE HELP

Take some of his favorite treats or food with you too, the smell might be enough to entice him out if he's hiding nearby. Since he is so far from home he might be just laying low hoping you will find him. Hopefully someone has seen him near where his collar was found.

Well I'm spitting feathers at the garage door company. I've been down to where the collar was found, but it didn't tie in with the description so I think the guy got his roads confused.

Anyway, happened to notice a few of the garage doors my neighbour has had fitted. Called them again and was informed that what I was told Tuesday morning at 8.30am (so you'd think it would be fresh in their minds) was not strictly true. And lo and behold, they'd been to Purbrook, not far from where the collar was found.

So I will saturating the area at the weekend with posters and leaflets, and Jon will have to get over his jet lag pretty quick to go and whistle for Hendrix until he is blue in the face.

I just hope he has found shelter in the meantime as its very near to Purbrook Heath which is pretty open. But I do know for sure the area that he is in.

Clare, at least you know he must have tagged along with the truck. Cats are super curious and I hate it when I see garage doors or van doors open knowing a cat could get stuck inside. I really hope you find him since he's in such a strange area. Long Legs is still missing from my house. Flyers went out today -- I don't think he hitched a ride anywhere but he loves the woods behind our house. I keep praying for Hendrix's safe return. It's getting closer to the weekend, but every day is another day he's outside and I'm sure the temps are chilly where you're at. They are below freezing here in Nashville.

Hi Clare - Have you spoken to Geoff or Igor at the Purbrook Vet? Their number is: 02392 371755
They are a few doors down from the Garage Door company, and Geoff is a local hero for rescuing cats that owners dump or want PTS for no good reason. He will do everything he can to try to help find Hendrix, I'm sure.

Will keep an eye out when passing the area - Do you have a recent pic?

Thanks, Jo. I will definitely call him. I know I've sent one of my leaflets to that practice so I will follow up with a phone call and also drop in tomorrow when I'll be back down there delivering more leaflets and putting up more posters.

I posted some pics on page 1 of this thread and they are also the pics I'm using on my leaflets as they show his markings very clearly.

Apparently a 'tabby' is occasionally scavenging at the fish and chip shop by the roundabout at Ladybridge Road which is plum in the middle of my search area so will be checking that out as well.

Yes, Long Legs was missing for three days. I saw him come onto my deck at 5 p.m. last night. Later, my next door neighbor called to thank me for putting her garbage cans at the road to be picked up and let me know Legs had been locked in her garage the entire time. The second she opened it when she got home, he ran immediately to my house. I had been in front of her garage several times and even looked in the windows and didn't see anything, but I wasn't looking for Legs at the time. Thankfully, he appears okay and slept in his heated bed last night.

Now, I hope we can find Hendrix and get him reunited with Clare, Jon and Jagger. Will be praying hard this weekend.

Feeling a little more optimistic. I think I have a definite sighting Wednesday lunch time, the same day I got a call about his collar. The lady remembered as she thought he looked like a leopard and not a normal moggy. She even mentioned it to someone in her road who received a leaflet today and took it round for her to look at. She is adamant it was him so I'm going to focus around there tomorrow and it's not far from the chip shop where a cat is scavenging either.

I'm going to the vet as well. Apparently the vet assistant there lives in the next road to the sighting and is a friend of one of my friends.

Maybe everything is starting to align in our favour...

That's great news, very good signs! Keeping our fingers crossed Hendrix is home soon.

I feel really bad for you as I know what it's like, I lost one of my first cats when she was 3, I lost another when he was 8, after that I vowed never to let another cat outside on its own.

I wish we could all help you look for Hendrix.

I keep checking this thread to see if Clare has updated us! I was thinking about her yesterday ALL day and hoping she found Hendrix.
