Hi All,
I am a bengal owner based in the U.S. I've been looking for a suitable and nice looking cat tree for our girl. I have found an awesome company in the UK called HiCat (see link below). The units are individually made to fit areas in your home and they can be either mounted to the wall or ceiling/floor (I believe another option for the shorter models can be sandbags to keep them secure).

I am doing an informal survey. Anyone out there interested in helping me see if there's any interest out there?

If so, please answer the questions below (US based consumers only, please):

1) Would you pay $1000 for a floor-to-ceiling unit in your home (this would include shipping and handling)?
2) If the cost is not a deterrent, would you buy one? If no, why?
3) In terms of website design, do you find the website easy to navigate?

Anything else that you'd like to say about the product? If you have one already, do you like it?

Thanks so much in advance!
Lisa

I don't quite understand the point of your survey, since they already *do* ship to the US (I bought a pole and a fat tom from them earlier this year), and posted about them here.

I like the hicat products quite a bit. They are very well conceived, sturdy, and use high-quality materials. I like that they are customizable too, and the guy I ordered from was super nice and helpful. Cost is an issue obviously. It's a pretty high-end product. I guess the only thing I'd gripe about is that they do have a pretty strong odor, which isn't necessarily pleasant, and does take a long time to subside naturally. Other than that they are great, and my cats do enjoy them. I'm definitely not sorry I bought them.

The website does contain all the relevant info, but I did find it kind of disorganized, not to mention really "stark". It's amazing to me that they have such a cool product but have almost no pictures or videos of the stuff in use, by cats!

I was going to say that Brian purchased this for his kitties and he is happy with it. But, Brian, you beat me to it.

Good to hear that you like them, Brian!

I am hoping that they can find a distributor in the US, so the cost and availability might go down a bit. I know that $1000 is outside some people's reach but I don't see much else out there that rivals this product.

They probably want a lot of money for distribution in the U.S. It's not a product that I would probably purchase for my cat because there are a lot of cat tree options available in the States.
