Hi, could anyone tell me the average weight of a 16week male Bengal. Just wondering if my little fella is on track he weighs 2.7kg (5Ibs 9). Just like to keep check if he's doing OK. Thanks.

It really depends on each individual kitten, but generally around 6 pounds is a good weight, so yes! Your little boy is doing fine!

Is there a reason you are concerned? Does he look thin to you? Bengals are an athletic breed so they do have a more muscular appearance than some other cats which can cause them to look more thin, but definitely not bony.

Has he had his first vet check since you have had him? It's always a good idea to have them checked, and the vet will be able to tell you if he is at a good weight or not.

Yes he has had his vet checks and they said he is fine. I was just curious that he was putting the correct amount of weight on. Suppose just a little bit of reassurance all is ok. He's certainly fit, running wild all over the place and wrecking things, he's like a little whirlwind getting bigger everyday, not use to Bengals always had the average domestic cat. These gorgeous creatures are abit of a shock to system, but wouldn't be without him. Just an anxious mummy.Thank you.

I don't want to see you being overly concerned about your boy's weight. You will be able to tell if he looks thin and if he's eating food, he should be okay. There is no set weight for a certain age of a bengal. Males are larger than females and every cat is just different. My male is 12.4 pounds, but there are male bengals over 15 pounds. Give your kitty as much food as he wants to eat right now and multiple meals per day.

He eats well he has 1wet pouch at breakfast with biscuits, dinner freshly cooked chick, for tea ham or fish bedtime biscuits and in between that he pinches some of dogs and tries it on with my other cat but doesn't get far with that one. So eats well. I'm new to these little kitty's or should I say big, so I'm learning as I go along. When not sure about anything will come on this excellent forum to seek advise which I'm always grateful for.Thank you.
