We found a bengal tabby mix at a cat rescue. My husband has always wanted a bengal and this kitten seems sweet. We were a bit curious if anyone things this kitten's pattern will grow into rosettes or if because it rather looks like she has tight stripes - if that is probably how she will age.

Thanks!!

What a sweet face!

Sorry, but this is a DSH tabby cat. There is no way that pattern would develop into rosettes.

Cute kit.

What a beautiful kitty! The pattern on this kitty is pure tabby -- there will be no rosetting. The tail resembles a bengal's tail, but know that all bengals have tabby in them since the breed was started with the Asian Leopard cat and a domestic short-haired tabby! There is really no way to tell if there is any bengal in this kitty.

Kyenta is correct - what you have there is a tabby cat, and there will not be any rosetting if that is what you are looking for. That said, if you both like her, go ahead and take her home. She may not be a bengal, but she is darling.

She's beautiful. Temperament trumps breed, in my opinion. If she seems to enjoy you, don't look back!

If the fee to adopt this little one is the same as if they are trying to pass her off as a bengal mix, I would get her. She's precious and seems super sweet. You just need to let them know that this is not a bengal of any type. Many advertise a "bengal mix" in the hopes that people who can't afford a purebred bengal put out money for a cat that may or may not have any bengal blood in it. I love ALL kitties, so it wouldn't matter to me, period! I didn't even know my Raiden was a bengal when he first started coming around my house. When I took him to the vet because he was limping, he was a patient of theirs and they informed me he was a purebred bengal. The owner gave him to me, along with his TICA papers.

This kitten is beautiful but no rosettes will appear, I do think she looks like domestic tabby and adorable with it. If you are after a rosetted cat then she's not for you but if you like her she's gorgeous - take her home!
