Hi, so today my flatmate pointed out that all four of Loki's paws have light de-pigmented patches on them. They are really obvious so I can't believe I hadn't noticed them before, I just clipped his claws yesterday! His nose has been getting lighter for the past year but I never thought much about it. Now I've seen his paws I'm wondering if he has vitiligo. Has anyone experienced this with their Bengal? Will he loose colour in his coat?
I was thinking maybe it's genetic so I've been looking carefully at my old photos of his mother that I took at the breeders. She has a light nose but not as light as his and her paws are black.

Quasar came to us with black paw pads. Somewhere between 10 and 12 months of age, they turned pink. They still have a few small black flecks but are mainly pink.

I'm not sure about vitiligo in cats. Quasar's bloodlines contain several snow bengals and his breeder says sometimes the pink pads of the snows show up on the BST bengals as well.

Sounds like it's not dangerous. I'd never heard of this before in cats.

Grace was born with a dark charcoal nose. When she turned a year old it started to lighten in the center. It is now brick colored with a dark charcoal outline. Her coat continues to darken every week. She is about a year and a half old. Her paw pads have remaind dark.
