When I am making dinner Spider will walk all over the chopping board that I am using as soon as my back is turned so that i have to rewash it, every time without fail, he has a real fascination with it. Sometimes I have to wash it 3-4 times to prepare just one meal, that gets a little bit old after the first time! He also has the tendency to smell my breath as soon as I'm done eating, which is sometimes quite cute, but if I dont realise he's coming i get a mouth full of bengal!

Maasai likes to wipe his food all over my kitchen floor, and its not unusual to find an old, half eaten, raw chicken wing somewhere random in the apartment! (I try and watch them when I give them those now!)

And when theyre working as a double act it would have to be removing the covers I have put over the leather sofa to protect it and then performing their own feline version of Stomp on there while Im at work.....I have already said goodbye to my security deposit I think!

I'm amending mine to Jagger bringing me 'gifts'. They've never been very good hunters and the only bird caught before was definitely luck and not down to any skill. However, this morning, Jagger had his first proper kill and was thrilled to bring it home to me, still alive and with a very wild look in his eyes. Which ended up with me chasing it and Jagger around the conservatory, feathers, blood and bird poo going everywhere.

He made me late for work as then I had to clean up the mess. He wasn't happy, he nearly took my hand off when I removed his prize and went back out to get another. He definitely has the blood lust now.

I've only had a problem with Quasar's poo on one occasion. We were camping and I ran out of raw. This was the only time I ever fed him a pouch of a supposedly good pouch food, Weruva. He had a single soft poo that stank to high heaven! We went home the next morning and straight back to raw.

Raw food = no smelly poos

The neighborhood cat that has decided to live at my house has been catching animals and birds. I try not to look. It's gross! Raiden has brought in two baby squirrels, a cardinal, and countless mice from his enclosure into our house. The openings in the wiring are large enough for some of the smaller creatures to get in and then he has a ball chasing them around and sharing them with us. We finally put smaller wiring around the bottom and up about 4 feet in the hopes that would help. No more mice, but still baby squirrels and birds.

My least favorite thing well...the hairballs. Dahab used to have once every few months or so in New York City. But since we've moved to Kurdistan, there haven't been any. (Thank God. Nobody remind him!)

So, I guess it would be the cost of having him relocated to another country with an unstable government and no clearly set guidelines/rules for importing a pet.
