Hey guys!

So I have had my boy for 6 weeks now.

While he is still sometimes scared of us he has gotten much, much better.

He no longer attacks us with his claws. He doesn’t bite us anymore, ever. He is more gentle when playing with us and doesn’t use his claws.

Also, while he is not a huge fan of being patted, he will however sit under my legs (when I sitting on the floor with my knees bent at the top, he will crawl underneath) and also just sit right beside me or behind me or in front of me.

Does this mean that he is starting to trust me and is a sign of improvement? Does it mean that he wants to be near me?

I was also woken up by him the other morning when he was sitting on top of me and gently tapping my nose with his paw.

It sounds like he is getting used to you and bonding with you.

This means he wants you to wake up and play/feed him/entertain him.

The trust is there -- he loves being next to you -- and waking you up. Mine will step on me to wake me up -- usually around 2 a.m. Enjoy the bonding process. It's great for you and your kitty. Bengals, especially, love to be around their owners. They are very social kitties and will follow you from room to room.
