Is anyone else allowed to write with a pen ?

I just wanted to write the following on a pad of paper:

Plan

1. Varnish windows
2. finish wardrobe
3. Build new computer
4. Paint radiator

What I actually wrote was

"pla" then Babbage jumped up in between me and the paper and tried to eat the nib of the pen
"n" He is at it again
"1. Varnis" B*gger off Babbage "h windows"
"2. finish wardrobe"
"3." Ada comes jumps up on the pad, tries to take pen off me "Build new com" Off you go Babbage, over there "puter"
They're back. Remove 1 cat from pen and stop the other trying to eat the pad
"4. Sell both cats for a pound to someone gullible."

Are anyone else's cats obsessed with stopping them from writing anything down ?

Nope. Given up, any lists go on my iPad now! Christmas cards are written at work.

All pens in this now seem to be toys for cats lol

Diesel always tries to take my pens. I have to lock him out of the office and listen to him yowl  the other night he cried until he made himself sick.

I can't talk on the phone either, he yells at me and jumps on me, he even grabs the phone and tries to run off with it.

I was trying to write checks yesterday and Serafina jumped up on the desk. As long as I was writing and had then pen in my hand I was fine, but the moment I put it down on the desk it immediately got batted onto the floor (and several times into the trash bin)

Haha I feel your pain. I had to work from home yesterday and had Blondie constantly lounging between my keyboard and monitor. She's small and naps while I pet her when the VPN connection drags. Then Grace wants to join in so she jumps up, steps all over Blondie and chases the curser around the screen while standing in front of me so I can't see anything. Finally she lays down on top of Blondie and they take up most of the desk space so my keyboard is on my lap and I have to keep moving their feet off my tablet. Good thing they are so adorable.

lol! I was attempting to do some work earlier and they were taking it in turns to steal my pen, walk on my laptop or lay across the book I was using. it took twice as long as it should have but so entertaining!

Pens are not the problem. Raiden wants to type on the computer keyboard. He has no spelling skills and usually will highlight and delete most of what I've typed already!

Nope

I tried colouring in recently and Alex bit my derwent pencil so hard he split it.

Then I was on the phone last week to the phone company and I was trying to write something, Alex took my pen and snapped the end off it

Oh these bad kitties!!!! Melissa, I bet Oscar has all the right answers to the questions. I have pens laying all over the place and Raiden has never touched them.

Grace ignores pens/pencils/mascara wands/straws. It's Blondie that can't resist those things. If I leave any of those things around they disappear (under the sofa).
