Hi everyone

I sold a cat tree recently to a lovely lady who lives near me. Turns out she is a bengal breeder and currently has 9 kittens ready to leave in a couple of weeks at 13 was of age. She loved my 2 and said to go round to see her and the kittens....fatal!!!! I am in love with 2 of the boys - both silvers. I now have the problem of persuading hubby to agree to it....not having much luck lol

I will let you all know how it goes - wish me luck!!!!

LisaLisa, shame on you. A cat lover such as yourself should NEVER go visit a breeder! I know what I'm talking about because I'm the same way. It's hard to wear a hubby down, trust me! Raiden won't accept another cat and tries to attack a neighborhood cat that just wants to be friends with him. I've fallen in love with this sweet little moggie and have been feeding him since he refuses to return home. I've returned him, they've come and gotten him several times, but he will NOT stay in the house or in their yard. They own 10 cats and two of them attack this little thing. Hubby doesn't even want me to feed him, but this kitty has caught many a bird, squirrel, mole and devoured them -- and I don't want him eating diseased wildlife like that. I know without hubby I would have a houseful of kitties and Raiden would just have to deal with it.

I agree with you....last time we were only having Rio then I saw Chilli and "persuaded" hubby to let me get 2. That cost me big time....I made so many promises lol

I really don't think he is going to budge this time though. He loves the 2 we have and is just as soft with them as I am. He moans that they take up all the bed at night so he's crammed on the edge but he won't shut the bedroom door on them :)

He would agree to having them if they were not so expensive. He says we can't justify the money....he's right really but I can't help it....I love them!!! The breeder is a lovely lady and has said that she would rather they come to me than someone just turning up and buying them now she has gotten to know me cos she knows what a fab home and life they would have here.

I will let you know IF he changes his mind.

Oh and with regards to other cats, mine only go out in the garden but we get a couple of other cats pop over into our garden and Chilli loves it! Rio just sits there looking haha.

One night a cat walked in the back door through the kitchen into the hall and was coming in the living room!!! I got up and he left quickly....Chilli was in the garden with him and Rio was just sat in the hall watching it lol

How fast do we fall in love with kitties? Like 5 seconds!!! Found a neighbor on the next street who walks her beautiful black kitty and I fell in love with him instantly, too! At least he has a home and was on a leash! Just looking at pictures of cats, I can fall in love. My hubby is a softy, but he does not want a houseful of cats and thinks Raiden is enough -- and trust me, Raiden is a handful. Hopefully, this will be our last cat. Any other cat would outlive us, more than likely. I love providing a great home for a kitty and have for 56+ years. LisaLisa, you and your husband are young ... you've got plenty of time to have more cats.

The breeder has offered a discount but to be honest, even if by some miracle she said I could have 2 for £400 hubby would still say no.....

Years ago I came home from work to find a speedboat on the driveway....oh and he has done it TWICE. I reckon I should just come home with the kittens lol....I'm not brave enough :)

A speed boat doesn't need food and water bowls in the kitchen or an additional litter box. LOL. But I'm sure the boat was more than the money for the kitties. I know my main concern would be Rio and Chilli accepting the new kitties. The time to properly introduce them -- and all that you went through with RF with the first two -- I'd be hesitant, but then, I haven't seen the kitties! LOL
