It's that awful subject, fleas, sorry! I have a litter of non perigee cats who I have found have fleas, I have treated mum and the house, the vets recommended frontline but I have still found live fleas on kittens who are 3 weeks old. Any ideas?

Are you UK based? I'd heard that frontline isn't as effective on fleas as it used to be in some areas as they've become immune to it. Your vet should have other brands to try so would be worth contacting them again. I use Broadline and Advocate, and I've also used Stronghold in the past too. I suppose it depends what can be used safely on the kittens so speaking to your vet again is definitely the way to go.

Hi Tabitha, yes UK. Vets recommended frontline spray, I have used this but not really effective. Mum has been treated and so has the house. I will contact my vets again, thank you.

Flea infestation can take a while as the eggs continue to hatch! You may have to retreat a couple of times. I've used Frontline on Raiden. Kittens may be a different story. Cats with fleas are miserable ... and humans can be as well. There are some homemade remedies you might try on the kittens:

Fleas are a nightmare you have to declare war on them !! Ask your vet for advantage and continue to treat the house and your car too .get into every nook and cranny
