So I have had my kitten for about a month. Since the first day I got her she has had really bad bloody diarrhea. It is the foulest smelling cat poop I've ever smelled. Sorry not a pleasent topic. I waited three days after getting her to contact the breeder incase it was stress induced. Despite all this she plays, eats, drinks ect. The breeder sent me panacur and ponazuril. Today marks the last day of her treatment and she's still not better. I told the breeder a few days ago that she has not improved at all and she said she forgot to send me a medication that she's sending me now (I can't remember what it is). She also told me to try adding pumpkin to her food. So as of now, it's no longer pure liquid but it is by no means solid and still has blood. Not to mention, when I'm in the living room, she poops on the floor even though she pees in her box. At first I was really calm about it and just picked her up and put her in the box if I caught her in the act. That didn't work so I tried being a little more forceful so she would see I'm upset but that only worked a little while. I've never had this problem with a cat so I don't know the best method to handle it. I want to take her to the vet but the breeder said since she's on meds, she's not shedding whatever infection she may have? My question is should I just go ahead and take her to the vet and Does anyone have any advice about her going on the floor?
