Guys can you recommend me some of your fav cat toys

I recently bought Raiden a wand toy with a mouse on the end that lights up. He goes crazy for it in the dark! Not so much in the light of day. He's already torn the feather off it. He's only into wand toys, and usually the end of the wand and not the toy! He has countless mice and balls and wants nothing to do with them. I've spent money on interactive toys that he won't even look at!

Da Bird, straws, pom-poms, shoe laces, toilet paper tubes, toilet paper.

Why doesn't Raiden like playing with anything like that? Cat Dancer was great the first day. He doesn't care for straws, paper towel tubes, Da Bird, Neko dragonfly. The only time I can really get him going is if I place a wand under a blanket or towel and move it around. I have a toy that does that automatically, but he's not interested. Raiden insists that someone be playing with him. He will sit on the bedroom floor and just wait (that's after crying and I follow him to see what he wants). He does like to wrestle his TNR buddy. I blame the previous owner as I don't think he ever played with him.

Don't worry Sherry, Oscar is exactly the same! Tried the flying frenzy wand again yesterday flying around the room and he actually yawned at me! Flipping cheek The laser does nothing for him and he just comes and sees what is in my hand. I also got the thing which goes around automatically under the mat and he also ignores that. The only things that sends him crazy is a wand under the rug with me on the other end of it. I spend a lot of time on my hands and knees by the rug!

Crikey that was a brave cub! It must have grown some to stand up to a big brave bengal.... Poor Jagger! Lots of play indoors for the two boys! I hope you have moved their catmint indoors too!:lol: Have not tried the cat dancer, will maybe have a look at it. I just end up behaving like an idiot trying to get Oscar excited about his toys, while he just gives my a pitying look.

The cubs are pretty big now and the parents seem to be taking them out hunting! Unfortunately Jagger (and it is always him!) happened to be in the border at the same time as them... I saw two cubs and then the parents, wondered where Jagger was when he came flying out of the border fur on end with a third cub hot on his heels. He got himself cornered between the house and the conservatory when I came charging out of the patio doors waving my arms around like a lunatic to scare the cub off. I try to tell myself the cub just wanted to play but to be honest, I'm not convinced - he probably doesn't realise yet he's not supposed to attack cats! Fortunately I'm home early morning and evening when they tend to be around our house and garden but I'm hoping to get some sort of fox repellent to try to move them on elsewhere.

Its a shame for Hendrix and Jagger as they love to hurtle round the garden chasing each other but the slightest noise at the moment sends them running back into the house, they are definitely very nervous with all the increased fox activity and end up indoors much earlier than usual.

Don't worry, I also end up making a fool of myself when playing with my two and receive that same disdainful look lol

I have ball tracks, Raiden has a huge cardboard box with multiple holes in it, I've not yet tried a tunnel. He has his outdoor enclosure that he enjoys being in a lot of the time. The cat dancer is good except when I accidentally slap him with it. He will chase it once. The laser pointer, he gets bored with when he realizes he can't catch it! The wand thing works so that's all I buy anymore. Feathers don't interest him very much.

I know we have foxes in our wooded area behind our house, but they don't seem to come near our neighborhood. Bring out the bloodhounds. Isn't there some huge controversy going on in the UK about the fox hunts? I follow Queen's Brian May and he seems to be quite involved with animal rights over there.

Just have to be careful when it comes to wild animals and domestic cats. They don't mix.

My cats love anything that's new, lol. They tire of toys pretty quickly but they love to see a new one arrive and they play with it constantly until suddenly they stop. I am starting to hide them in a closet so I can bring them out at a later date and refresh their interest. I know this is not a toy per say, but my cats currently love playing on their new cat scratcher lounger. Grace has been sleeping on it in the living room since it arrived!

Jill, I have that trackball thing that you show in your picture! Raiden has never been interested in it, but I certainly enjoy pushing the ball around in it! In the good old days, cat toys were toilet paper tubes, large empty thread spools, yarn -- they didn't cost a anything and the cats went crazy for them. I think my Prince Raiden feels he's too good (royal) for the toys!!! He doesn't even like 99% of the new ones I get! Won't even look at them. May sniff them, but that's about it.
