Do you think this cat is a bengal

i have considered getting this cat. They state they have both parents, both SBT TICA purebreds. Mother brown charcoal, father brown spotted. THE kitten is blue marble. I am familiar with Bengal personality and such, but all the bengals I have seen have been obviously Bengal. This kitten looks like a medium hair domestic to me, tho very cute. I am curious what you think of the pics I was sent.

according to the breeder (tho I do not see her advertised) she is last in the litter, she has three other cats about to give birth and her husband wants to find a home for her, she states hers usually sell for $800, but she was selling her for $400, I talked her into $300 at what is to be her husbands urging. I am still on the fence. For Like I said she is a cute cat, and I would love her, but I would not pay $300 for a domestic cat. I admit I am not the most trusting person. I am waiting for a reply back on whether the kitten will have papers

She's adorable, the only way to know for sure is if they will provide papers.

Have not heard back yet from breeder. Has not been long since I messaged her.m Does she look Bengal?

From the pictures, she appears to be a marbled bengal. If they say the parents are registered, then ask to see the TICA papers on the parents and the breeder should then provide you with papers for the kitten. Many breeders drop the price of the kittens when they are expecting another litter and have one or two left. The best thing to do is visit the breeder and see the kitten for yourself. You'll be able to see the parents and the breeder's facilities. It makes a huge difference. Paying $300 for a cat that you're not sure is a purebred is crazy! Google the breeder and see if there are any complaints or if someone feels they are a backyard breeder. I'm guessing this one is on the up and up. You just need to do all of your homework and ask all the right questions. If you can get TICA papers on this kitten, then it is a purebred bengal.

This kitty is just adorable. She needs a good home.

Well she answered me back....

I'm sorry the prob with cat paper d is there is no guarantee . anyone can breed with the papers. I haven't even sent them in because she's getting spayed

So I'm not spending $300 on a cat that I can't even be sure is a Bengal

Nope. Walk away. While I do believe the kitten could be bengal I would not buy from a breeder that does not register their kittens regardless of the reason!

Doesn't sound like a reputable breeder to me. If you want a bengal with papers, find a quality breeder. You'll be paying more money, but at least you'll get the kitten you want.

I know its a late reply but that kitten is just a domestic shorthair tabby-wouldn't even say bengal cross. I hope she finds a loving home though regardless.
