I just discovered this today (maybe others already knew this). They now sell the "Frenzy" cat toys in the US on Amazon!

I remember ordering these several years ago at Happy House Cats, importing them from the UK, back when one of our forum members was running the store. The wands are *so* much better than the awful dabird and neko fly ones. They are longer, flexible, and don't break (like the Da Bird ones always do). Yay! I'm ordering several wands and the "buttermoth" (that looks awesome, and cracks me up).

I love these, Brian, but I know Raiden would not! I keep buying him toys and he just does not want to play with anything! I even downloaded the Friskies fish and bug apps for the iPad and Raiden just watches them go across the screen. I've taken his paw to show him how to catch the prey. All I need are long wands. No toys at the end because he will not play with them. He has a catnip mouse (and Raiden loves catnip) and refilled it and he picked it up in his mouth and promptly dropped it! I'm guessing his previous owner for six years never played with him. Raiden will catch mice out in his enclosure. He's brought in a baby squirrel, so I know he does have that hunting instinct. On our walks, he chases the flying bugs and will even EAT them. Gross!

I work with Raiden every single day. My husband has better success with him than I do, but we still just end up swishing the other end of the wand around, holding the toy in our hands and Raiden chases it like a crazy cat. He doesn't like to chase yarn, ribbon, or a long thin rubber hose. I really don't know what to do because spinning a wand around just gets me dizzy! LOL

Sherry, I don't know if you have hard floors in your home, but if you do have you tried cat springs ?

You can twang them to get Raiden's attention and on a hard floor they bounce and skitter along - they might be a good idea if he likes to chase bugs.

Also, one of Ada's favourites - http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/cats/cat_toys/balls/42991 - these again work on hard floors - they bounce unpredictably along the floor and off the walls, like something trying to get away from a cat.
