Bengal?

Hopefully this doesn't get old. Just curious what others thought. Took this kitty in at about a week. Vets kept telling me he had some physical that looked Bengal his personality matched a Bengal to a T !!! Most most outgoing, smart, social & oh my goodness was he hyper! Loved water, figured out how to open & unlock doors, very very talkative. People used to say he knew human words since his chips sounded like things.

These pictures give a much better indication. I'm inclined to say there is some bengal in this beautiful kitty.

Yes so sorry. New to this forum & trying to use it on my phone so keep messing it up. Yes I'm wondering if anyone thinks he may be part Bengal. I'd never heard of Bengal but whenever I described my crazy kitty people would say he sounded bengal. Just curious what people experienced with pure breed bengals thought. His personality was SOOO much like a Bengal but just curious what people think on his physical appearance

he may very well have bengal in him and he may not. There is really no way of knowing. He is a VERY handsome boy regardless! It's so interesting to see his marble pattern when his fur was shaved from surgery! I've never 5 bought about what their skin looks like underneath those beautiful markings!

When I started weaning him he would vomit. ANY food that wasn't 100% liquid made him get sick. Even one bite. Even mostly blended wet food. Had to be 100%. Even a bite or two caused problems. Drs thought he had PRAA. It's been years so I think I remember remember the term - persistant right aratitic (spelling is wrong) arch. After a several thousand dollar surgery they called to tell me it turns out that he didn't & it just be neurological. I finally gave up on treatment at that point. He had been though so much & vet bills were near 8,000 & no one knew what was wrong. EVERY vet told me he wouldn't live more then a year or so on a liquid diet. But this was the kitty I put down a week and half ago at 13-years. He proved them wrong. At 8 years old he suddenly started handling solids. Having a VERY smart cat who wants food but can only have solids was hard! He got pancreatitis about 3 weeks ago which is treatable but he went down hill soooo fast. Couldn't eat anything. Vets said something else must be up. So trillions in vet bills later we learned his esophagus was enlarged but that never goes down & it showed that on a xray at 4 months (when he had the surgery) he also had a growth in his esophagus but it was too close to his chest/heart to get to to test. The outlook of fixing whatever it was is poor. They think maybe cancer. They think his whole life he had a nervous system disorder that didn't send the correct signal to pass food & that mixed with pancreatitis just made all his old stuff flare up. We spent TONS on vet bills but he went down hill so fast. He was up & moving still when we put him down but he couldn't eat at all, not even liquid & the thought of him starving was too much. When we went in to put him down was 24 hours after a 3 day hospital stay for him & his blood pressure was so horrible it took forever to put the IV in :( needless to say we were devastated :(

Oh no I am so sorry I didn't realise he has passed away.

You went through so much with him and never gave up on him.

I am so sorry for your loss.
