Names?

Curious everyones favorite kitty name? What's your top one or two? Stuck on kitty names! I don't like common ones as much. So far our only option we've come up with is Ollie. I like Niko but it was vetoed & my other kitty was Basil. Any ideas? My poor kitty needs a name! I should put that it's a boy.

My little girl is named Doris (from Lady Justice of And Justice For All... MetallicA's Album), if I had a boy I Would name him Orion (Instrumental track from Master Of Puppets - MetallicA)

My favorite girl name is Grace so that is my one cat's name. My other cat is cream, beige and brown so I named her Blondie. My last cat was Madelyn and that name fit her, she was very sweet and small. Before that I had Apollo, he was a lean, beautiful blue point siamese.

My little boy is called Khari, which is swahili for kingly.
His prefix name is zawadi which is swahili for gift so we wanted to have something that reflected that.

Most of my cats have been named Kitty! LOL. My bengal was named Raiden when I got him, so I kept the name. Years ago, I had a stray find me and I couldn't figure out what to call him. He just looked like a bear! So I named him "Bear." Usually, I tell new owners to observe the cat for a week or two and a name will usually pop up.

The names I considered for my new kitten: Mochi (from Disney movie Big Hero 6), Seven -o (my son picked that one), Nero, or Severide ( a character from.my favorite TV show.

My 2 have decidedly geeky names.

They are called Ada and Babbage, after Ada Lovelace who was the daughter of Lord Byron and the first person in the world to write a computer program. The program was written for the Difference Engine, designed and build by Charles Babbage.

Not that they would respond to or recognise their names - they generally get called "Inky" and "Stink-a-Doodle".

Mine are Nismo and Evo - and are car based.
We had a long list of names including Enzo, Elise, Shelby, Cobra, Portia and Bentley but I knew when i saw them what the right names for them would be. Nismo was very nearly Enzo - but Enzo and Evo together can get easily mixed up - saying that they often get called Nevo and Emo cos i get them tangled up.
Often enough Nismo is shouty pants and Evo is 'you clutz-bag'

I usually like to take names from either books or films that made a particular impression on me at the time that I got the cat.

So for male names, maybe: Stoick, or Toughnut (from "how to train your dragon"), or "Iorek" (from "golden compass"), or "Sully" or "Tsu'tey" (from "Avatar") or how about "Finnick" (from "Hunger Games") or "Parzival" (from "Ready Player One")
