I do believe you have a purebred bengal. He's gorgeous! As for the TICA paperwork, it's not complicated! Obviously the breeder did not neuter the cat prior to leaving the cattery and it's common that they do not give you all the paperwork until they have proof the neutering has been done. Please have him neutered as soon as your vet will do it. Registering your kitty simply puts him the database as a purebred bengal. Raiden's previous owner never registered him, so I did after I took possession of Raiden when he was 6 years old (he just turned 8 yesterday). One of the more intriguing aspects was getting a 5-generation pedigree from TICA when I registered him (there is an additional fee for that, but it comes laminated). From there, I went to
http://www.bengalpedigrees.com and was able to pull up a 15-generation pedigree which traced Raiden back to all the ALCs in his pedigree (after putting in some missing grandparents). If you have any questions about the generation paperwork, message me. I'll be happy to help you out since I find it all so interesting.
Know that all bengals are different. A mellow, cuddly, lap bengal is a good thing!!! You may want him bouncing off the walls, but he's still just a little thing and his personality isn't fully developed at this stage. Let him acclimate to his new home and all the new people and smells. It's different for every single cat. Comparing him to a previous cat is just something you can't do! Congratulations and enjoy your beautiful baby!
