What can I do for a Bengal with an eye infection?

We plan to soon after we've observed some issues. I mean he was fostered for 6 months before we got him by the rescue organization founder, I think he just got a little sick at the rescue center maybe, but he was barely breathing when they rescued him from what I understand.

We've been dabbing his eye boogers with wet warm wash clothes a couple time a day and today it's almost cleared up.

An infection needs antibiotics which only a vet can prescribe! It could be a scratch to the eye. It could be anything and unless you're a vet, you don't know. I'd definitely get him in for a checkup! Better to be safe than sorry. I'm sure what you're doing now is helping, but it may not completely heal without some extra help.
