Zoomba was hobbling around all weekend on 3 legs so I am taking him to the vet today. Can't imagine what could be wrong but I hope he's okay. :sad:

Is it a front or back leg? I've been to the vet before for this a couple of times and I'm sure it will be fixable. He may have sprained or pulled a muscle if he is always running, jumping and climbing etc. If he lets you its worth having a look to see if there is anything in his pad that might be causing pain or any swelling.

I've had a broken growth plate on a front paw and Hendrix also has a condition called luxating patella (or loose knee caps) so I know just how you feel - it's horrible watching them hobble and cats only limp if they have to as they are very good at hiding any pain they're in.

They are very active cats so I guess it must be fairly easy for them to do themselves some damage at some point!

Poor guy, hopefully it's just a sprain or pulled muscle. Diesel has done that a few times jumping off things he shouldn't have.

As it turns out, it's his paw - the tip of his paw to be exact. It's very sore and tender. Thank goodness nothing major. The vet gave him a shot of steroids to help with the pain. Hopefully he will be good as new soon. I am feeling a bit guilty, as I have stepped on the poor guy's paw a couple of times lately. He just darts under foot before I know he's there. :eek:

I'm relieved to know Zoomba is going to be okay! The way I discovered Raiden had an owner was when he started limping and I took him to the vet to make sure his leg was okay. At the time, he was an outdoor cat owned by a neighbor 4 doors down from me. He claims that Raiden limped a lot! Well, he wouldn't let the vet look at his leg and since I've owned him, Raiden hasn't limped at all. It's always better to make a trip to the vet just to make sure everything is okay. Hope he starts Zooming around again soon.

It's easy done - they are so quick and I managed to tread on Jagger this morning - I thought he was on the other side of the kitchen having his breakfast, but like a ninja he had crept up behind me when I took a step back. I felt terrible and ended up having to play with him for a bit to make it up to him (and check he was ok) and was nearly late for work lol

I'm glad he's already feeling better.

I noticed that the tip of one of Diesel's back toes looked "wet" this morning so I picked him up and saw a little hole so gave it a squeeze and puss came out. Not sure how he hurt it but he's going to the doctor in the morning for some antibiotics. :rolleyes:
