Breeding bengals below F5 is not legal in my country, so off course their behavior and looks don't come across as "wild" as they would on a lower generation, thus resulting in less fuss about the breed. As of now I only hear good things, but of course there was some reactions when I first announced that I would purchase a bengal (from ignorant people). "Wow, but aren't they huge though? Don't you have to build a special cage and only feed him raw meat or something?"
Other than being a bit more muscular than the average cat and having a feral looking coat and a more wild headshape, he's just like any other housecat. Friends of mine describe my bengal as "weird" compared to their own cats, but I take that as a compliment.
I have read hilarious things online off course, that they eat other cats and slaughter everything in their path. My cat has dragged in both mice and birds, but no dead feline has appeared at my doorstep before
