I have a kitten named Benji, and he’s super vocal. He also makes weird noises when he’s eating and he is also a constant ball of energy. Once he jumped into the sink and got all wet. He really loves water and always plays with his water bowl, so that seemed strange to me.

He does have strange copper and yellow hairs on his pelt along with spots.

Welcome to the forum. We won't be able to offer an opinion without a picture. Many other cats have similar traits as a bengal. And many bengals do not love water. You did mention a "pelt" and bengals have a very soft and silky pelt. I know it's a pain that this forum has a limit on the size of the photos. Many do not post pictures for that very reason. Just make sure any photo account you get online is set to public viewing or we would not be able to see the photos.

Thanks for the picture. What I see is a rosetted cat -- not a spotted cat. Bengals have rosettes. I would say this cat is a bengal. Not a mix. The copper and yellow colors in the pelt may be glitter. If the pelt feels silky soft, you can bet this is a bengal. I can't see the tail, but bengals have ringed tails with a black tip. If I saw this cat in the street, I would definitely say "there is a benga." Now .... that's just my opinion and someone else may come on here and see things differently. Regardless, this cat definitely has bengal in him. And he is super handsome.

I'm surprised nobody else has come on and commented. I would say you have a 100% bengal. Most bengal mixes have other characteristics from the other cat -- some white, or other distinguishing marks. This cat looks like a purebred bengal to me. I don't see anything to tell me otherwise. Benji is just stunning!

Agreed, he definitely looks Bengal to me.
Where did you get him?

My friend lives in a large city in Canada, and she found this little abandoned kitten and nursed it to health. She couldn’t find a home for it until she contacted me. He was healthy, she had dewormed him, etc. Nobody really knows of his background but he does have a little tiny bit of white on his chest that almost blends into everything else.

The tummy of a bengal is lighter and there are white tummied bengals. Some of the bengals have inherited the whited tummy from their ALC ancestors, which adds to their wild appearance. There have been many bengals lost - some from breeders, some from owners. Just enjoy all the adventures Benji take you on.

I agree. Bengal paws are slightly different from your regular cat. Truthfully I don't see any other characteristics that would make me believe even a Bengal mix. I say pure Bengal.

As he grows up it will become very evident with a larger size. If the pads on his paws are all black ( no pink ones ) then that is another sign, not conclusive on its own, but it is a trait of Bengals. The patterning on his sides should also be different on each side. Looks like a healthy kitten, just make sure to provide a good place for him to climb or you may quickly be replacing quite a few things.
