Teething question

How long does the teething period usually last? Kai's vet said last week after he got his neuter that he is in the midst of teething. He's definitely enjoying chewing soft stuff. Any idea when they usually get their full set of adult teeth? Kai is 4.5 months old right now.

Quasar came to us at 13 weeks of age. He had his adult teeth at that time and doesn't chew on anything really.

Oh wow really?! The vet said a certain set of adult teeth are coming in....I can't remember which. But apparently they make his mouth a bit sore so they gave me a little fleece toy he can chew. He'd rather chew his stuffed toy dog, though :rolleyes:

3 - 9 months is the typical age for adult cat teeth to come in.
