Please can I have a quick bit of advice.

When we went to pick up Circle, we picked out Ely. Ely is already 5 months old, but the breeder neuters/spays before they leave. So Ely was spayed, and then we had to wait for the stiches to come out before being able to pick her up.

The breeder lives 2.5 hours away and as a result of this we missed the window of opportunity when we were free. Now, we are able to go on 26 Jan.

The breeder just sent me an e-mail saying to come quickly, as Ely is getting bored alone (she seperated her from the others), and has hurt her ear! I physically cannot get there before 26th, which is fine, it's only a week away.

But what should I be asking about the ear etc? Bearing in mind that Ely is show quality, and we would like to try and show her (if she takes to it of course!)...

Maybe you could ask for a veterinary opinion on whether the ear will heal completely so that there will be no cosmetic damage?

I don't know if you paid a 'show' price for the kitten, but if so and the ear will be left with scarring etc.. then the breeder should offer you a refund or refund the difference in the cost of show/pet or offer you an alternative kitten.

Hope things work out with the little baby anyway!

Did she say what exactly happened to her ear? Is it just a scratch, or something more? Hopefully the breeder will keep an eye on it and watch out for any infection that may set in. I hope it isn't too bad. Maybe the breeder could have a vet look at it since you can't get there right away?
