If you REALLY want a cat from that breeder do you have the offer in writing? You see she may have sent you a cheque but if it hasn't been cashed she effectively still has your money and thus is bound to the contract/offer she gave you previously.

"I'm sorry but I've not received the cheque, thus the deal has not been rescinded and I'd like to take you up on it"

My own opinion though would be to take your money, go elsewhere and deal with people who care about you as a customer... I mean if they treat you like that, how do they treat their animals? :roll:
