Congratulations! I also have a deposit on my first Bengal kitten that I will be picking up at the end of April.

As I have virtually no first hand experience with the breed myself, I can't really offer much advice. However, I can share some of the resources that I have found in the past couple of months.

First of all, while you're here, there is a sticky thread in another forum on this board that covers the basics of the bengal breed:
<a href='http://www.bengalcatforums.com/forums//index.php?showtopic=10' target='_blank'>The Characterisitics of the Bengal Cat</a>

Another good info resource is The International Bengal Cat Society:
<a href='http://www.tibcs.com/' target='_blank'>TIBCS</a>

The TICA breed standard in case you want to know what makes a "show quality" Bengal:
<a href='http://www.tica.org/standards/bgstd04.pdf' target='_blank'>Bengal Breed Standard</a> (PDF)

<a href='http://www.petsmart.com/ps/guides/aspca_breed_guide.jsp?FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302023784&CONTENT%3C%3Ecnt_id=10134198673313385&bmUID=1112908154515' target='_blank'>ASPCA Bengal Breed description</a> [pestsmart.com]

<a href='http://www.google.com/search?q=bengal+cat' target='_blank'>Obligatory Google reference</a>

And of course, the best way to get specific answers pertinent to your kitten is to ask your breeder. :D

I think it varies from cat to cat with Bengals - I don't think they are overly vocal, certainly with our two, they don't make noises for no reason, but will do so if they want your attention B)

Hey congratulations! I have 2 bengals, a brother and sister since November. They are about 7 months old now. They've been great - different from ordinary cats! Mine do talk at times, but nothing excessive.

Congratulations! -- Be prepared to become ADDICTED !!!
One year ago, in January - I purchased two 7 month old Bengal SISTERS.
Then, during the following days after Memorial day (Last Monday in May) I broke down and put a deposit on a "just born" little BOY Bengal. The first week in August, when I drove from Alabama to Texas to pick him up --- I ended up coming home with him AND his precious little SISTER !!
The total of BENGALS was up to FOUR - within the FIRST YEAR of being owned by Bengals.
Shortly after the first of the year THIS year... I agreed to assist with "National Bengal Cat Rescue" -- so now I am currently FOSTERING a 6 year old SNOW Bengal
And --- NOW I'm talking to a couple of Early Generation Breeders -- about getting an early generation BOY

Keeping in mind -- I am NOT a BREEDER... I wouldn't DARE -- I could never give ANY of them up!

There IS nothing like the Bengal experience. They bring so much amusement into my life.
They are intelligent, communicative, interactive, affectionate, comical, sometimes relentless... and ALWAYS adorable.

Welcome to the world of Bengal Slavedom :)
