this is my maisy on her lead & harness, on the london underground on the way to a show.

when i first got willow, i took her for a walk along the beach & a day out to the woods! got some strange looks (especially when we stopped off in a beer garden for a pub lunch!) but she loved it. the only reason i stopped is i was so worried someone might try & steal her...oh, & she developed a dislike of the wind (strange girl!!)

i find they take to the harnesses easily, especially if you start getting them used to it while they're young. mine prefer to be on them than stuck in a cat carrier if we're travelling on the train.

just get a harness & put it on them while they are indoors & playing (without the lead). leave it for half hour or so. do this a few times then try adding the lead & following them around, holding it loosely. it won't take many goes before they accept it.
