As I've mentioned in other posts i'm planning to get a kitten as a companion for Shelley when i've moved house.

I'm going to be looking for a Kitten that I can breed when she's a adult, i know I can pay well over a £1000 for a adult, but what can i expect to pay for a kitten?

Hi Jim,

When you start out looking for a future queen it will be a kitten that you buy, it'll just be on the active register meaning it's offspring can be registered once it's mature enough to breed.

So prices upwards from £1000 would be appropriate for a quality breeding female kitten!

Now I'm not a breeder so I'm hoping that someone more "in the know" will jump in....but I had always thought that you couldn't keep a breeding queen in the same way as a neutered pet as they can be quite territorial!

I definitely agree that two Bengals are better than one though - it's so much fun watching them play together

I could never be a breeder though -I'd never be able to bear parting with any of the kittens
