I saw a ad in the paper today....

The ad says: Purebreed bengal cats. 9 weeks old. Males/ Females. Rosettes and spots. Show quality. $250 cash.

I just think its a little odd $250 for a purebreed show bengal... Or is it just me?

there seems to be a lot of this around. probably don't have registration papers.

also wont be vaccinated or vet checked at 9 weeks old.

Yep, I'd say no papers. Someone down here is selling a 'bengal stud' for $AUD 800, one year old, beautiful kittens, "paid a lot of money for him just a few months ago", no papers. Why would you ever pay a lot of money for a stud without papers?? I'd bet he was sold as a pet :-(
