Cleo went to get fixed on friday jan 11th and she passed away that night

Oh my gosh, that's just horrible How did this come about? A complication in the procedure? It's every cat owners nightmare. I know the odds are very good for coming out of those procedure alright, but I was worried sick all day I took mine in.

Well she went and got fixed that day she came home was fine when i went to bed at like 1 she laid down with me like normal woke up to feed her at 5am like normal and she was by her litter box dead
we had an autopsy done and the results came back that she had a heart murmor that they never previously never picked up on and the stress from the procedure is what did it the bad thing is she was only 7 months

S**t dude I'm so sorry. I was following you on instagram I saw she wasn't feeling well after the operation. I didn't think much of it because its normal.

Yeah around an hour after i posted that pic she started acting normal :/ but thank you guys so much ! i was already planning on getting an f2 so now the breeder is gonna give me one for only 750.00 ! but it will not replace cleo :/

When you say they found she had a heart murmur, this is a sound so I assume they found a heart defect. As you have already told your breeder, are they aware that the problem was due to her heart as this is often a genetic problem (not always, depends on what it is) so the breeder might have to look at her lines. Do they scan for HCM?

Such awful news, I have no words. Almost in tears here to be perfectly honest.

I am, however, now crapping myself, as we booked Pepper in for her procedure in 2 weeks just yesterday.

I won't be sharing your post with my wife.

wow, I'm really sorry to hear your news, I can definitely empathise with you. Tigger and Nala both have faint heart murmurs, but luckily we were forewarned of their condition by the breeder's great vet who picked up the condition in both of them, so we were able to mention this to the vets before they went in for their procedures and they're still fine. It was definitely something I was scared would happen to my two, and my heart breaks for you and poor Cleo.

May she be happy at the rainbow bridge with our pets that have gone there
